In 1980, Hyundae Yong-O-Sa, which means Modern English Company in English, was founded to meet the rapidly growing demand for English language learning materials throughout Korea and Asia. In 1994, the U.S. branch of Hyundae Yong-O-Sa was opened in Los Angeles, California, to support Hyundai’s product development efforts.
